Coventry Best For Business
“Coventry Best for Business” is the UK’s largest Business Improvement District covering the whole of the city wide area. Its aim is to make Coventry the best place in the UK to do business. A Business Improvement District (BID) allows companies in a defined area to work together to improve their competitiveness and the environment in which they operate. The city-wide BID is managed by an independent not-for-profit company with representatives drawn from the local business community and one representative each from CV One, the Coventry, Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and Coventry City Council on its board of directors. Its key activities include reducing business crime through manned CCTV cameras, offering improved IT access to business via a modern citywide cable and wireless infrastructure, providing free access to broadband facilities; improving the image of the city and offering bulk procurement deals and Business Champions to help reduce costs for members and provide key business intelligence and support.
