Welcome to the Godiva Awards 2008

The Business Awards are sponsored by Coventry University

Open to all businesses in the tourism and lifestyle sector, the six business categories are individually judged by a specialist panel of judges.

The award categories are:
Best New Venture
Best Business
Best Access for All
Best Customer Service
Best Conference Venue
Best Guest House

To be considered for any of the six awards, companies must enter submitting an application including:

• Name of organisation
• Category entered
• Full postal address
• Name and position of the person submitting the application
• Email address
• Telephone number

• The submission must include information on how your company responds to all four initiatives listed on the Business Awards Instructions document or on pages 8- 13 of the Godiva Awards brochure.

• No more than 350 words should be written for each business initiative.

• No more than the equivalent of five A4 sheets of additional information e.g promotional materials, photographs, compliment letters can be included.

• The application should be submitted on white A4 paper.

• To select the finalists the entries are marked against the four initiatives. Once the finalists are chosen they will receive a pre-arranged visit from an independent assessor who will report back to a panel of judges who make the final decision.

• The submission must either be to posted to:

• Please note – entries will not be returned.

• All entries must be received by 31st July 2008

• Each nomination will be judged on the basis of clear written examples against the chosen initiatives of each category and additional supporting material supplied with the application.
