The region’s biggest and best lifestyle awards has announced a major sponsor.

Lloyds TSB Commercial is to become the headline sponsor of the Godiva Awards 2008 – the prestigious competition which rewards the leading venues in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Nominations are currently being sought for 17 categories which range from the best hotels and restaurants to visitor attractions and theatres.

The winners will be announced at a glitzy ceremony at the Belgrade Theatre later in the year.

Dale Bostock, Relationship Director from Lloyds TSB, Commercial said the bank was delighted to be the headline sponsor of a competition which was growing from strength to strength.

“The Godiva Awards has really caught the imagination of everyone who votes as well as the nominees,” he said.

“This competition recognises businesses who have shown a great deal of flair, creativity and commitment and all these qualities help to improve the leisure offering in Coventry and Warwickshire to encourage visitors to the region as well as improve the lifestyle of people who live in the region.
