The Godiva Awards 2006
Coventry and Warwickshire's prestigious Godiva Award winners were announced at a glittering ceremony in Coventry Cathedral.

The Awards which recognise Coventry and Warwickshire's lifestyle, tourism and leisure industry have been developed by CV One in association with Coventry Evening Telegraph, Heart FM, Coventry University, Parenthesis, Cobra Beer, Illy Coffee, Advantage West Midlands, Coventry Cathedral, Oakmoor Estates, Quality at Heart, CCSP, CAAG, Live 24-Seven, Belgrade Plaza, Belgrade Theatre, Alliance and Leicester, Heart of England Tourism, Space and People, Deeley Properties Ltd, City of Coventry Ambassadors Group UK, The European Regional Development Fund, and this year's title sponsor Thomsonfly.com

The awards are divided into three categories:
Lifestyle Awards in association with Coventry Evening Telegraph- open to businesses in the entertainment and arts sector which have been nominated and voted for by the public.
Business Awards in association with Coventry University - judged by an independent judging panel advised by industry experts.
The Ambassadors Award - for a single individual who has made an outstanding contribution to Coventry and Warwickshire, nominated and voted by members of the City of Coventry Ambassadors Group, UK.

Ambassadors Award
Last year's winner John McGuigan presented the Ambassadors Award for the contribution to Coventry and Warwickshire to Anna Ritchley on behalf of her father Martin Ritchley.
