Many people have known Warwick to be a foodie haven even before the Brothers of Warwick arrived. In the short time of Merchants being open they have created a reputation based on their no-nonsense menu packed with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. They claim to be the only restaurant in the region to be totally free range and where possible have always sourced organic (including some of the wines).
Their unique innovation with food and events means a smorgasbord of options to suit all tastes.
There is steak nights on Thursdays, featuring incredibly priced locally reared cuts of beef and regular guest fish and exotic steaks, Merchants is also home to the Sweet Tooth Society – a seasonal meal that boasts six courses of dessert, with dishes prepared in front of a salivating dining room. They have also reinvented the pub quiz, mixing question rounds with a great value three course meal.
Private parties litter the diary - in the first month of opening they’ve had celebrations for an 18th, a 28th, a 60th, a retirement, a christening, a hen bash & a wedding, so private bashes are well catered for also.
