This historic pub has now established itself as a very good pub-restaurant. The inside is very much as you would expect from an old pub but on a gigantic, open and airy scale. Given the scale, it's a real treat that the whole environment is still intimate, with the pub divided into sections and even a cosy lounge at the back. Ordering is at the bar (with a separate food service counter) and the service is very good. There is a great choice of wine too.
